a lovely classic cake from Italy and the surrounding areas. It's a delicate orange-scented pound cake, except ricotta replaces most of the butter. Good enough to be enjoyed plain, or dressed up with a seasonal fruit compote, fresh strawberries, etc. We often put a browned butter glaze on this cake.
